Where the Wild Things Are Reading Club – WSPL Kids

Discover Stouffville Blog

When you read the title, did the song “Wild Thing” by the Troggs (released in 1966) start playing in your mind?  Or did you think of the book of the same title “Where the Wild Things Are” by Maurice Sendak?  Both pop into my mind.  Every time I see the book, I hear the song.

From January 17th to March 31st, we will be offering our second Where the Wild Things Are Reading Club. Last year this winter reading club was well received and helped to further advance the reading skills gained through the summer reading club.

You will register your child using Beanstack, there will be a link on our Library website, where you will be able to log your child’s reading adventures.  The more they read, or you read to them, the more chances they have of winning a prize.  Prizes will be drawn weekly.

It’s going to be cold and snowy, COVID is still going to keep us home, Where the Wild Things Are will keep your kids busy this winter.  For more information please contact Anne at anne.houle@wsplibrary.ca or 905-642-5022.
