Scottish-born David Francey, hailed as 'one of Canada's most revered folk poets' (Toronto Star), immigrated from Ayrshire to Canada at twelve. A former carpenter and rail yard worker, his authentic songs reflect the working-class experience. From his acclaimed debut Torn Screen Door in 1999, Francey has gone on to win 4 Juno Awards, a SOCAN Folk Music Award, and international songwriting honours, becoming a celebrated voice in Canadian music. Joining him on stage are Jess Weden (fiddle, vocals) and Chris Murphy (guitar, vocals).

This exhibition, on loan from the Legacy of Hope Foundation and the first in Canada to be developed on residential schools, uses archival photographs and documents, to tell the story of the System using a more traditional museum-style format.
