The Gerencer Tree Farm

Steve and Maria Gerencer have been running The Gerencer Tree Farm for around 30 years, and they started offering cut-your-own Christmas trees about a decade ago. Maria loves seeing families come to the farm each year, fully embracing the festive spirit. She fondly recalls a couple who brought their baby and two small dogs, all dressed in matching holiday outfits. The farm provides sleds for kids and trees, and many visitors bring their own sleds. Last year, Maria noticed two couples using a tarp to slide their trees to their cars. The Gerencer Tree Farm offers hot chocolate, candy canes, and freshly baked cookies by Maria herself. Cheerful seasonal planters and other greenery are also available for sale.

Tufford’s Tree Farm, a small family operation since 1965, offers a pleasant, short walk through the woods to find your tree. The farm once had a well-behaved white Percheron horse to pull trees out of the woods, but now it’s all about people power. With a safe toboggan hill for kids and an open fire to gather around, it’s a perfect spot for family fun.
